BUYER GUIDE · UPDATED 19 OCTOBER 2026
AI visibility tracker vs AI search execution platform: what should a B2B company buy?
Two kinds of product answer the same worry: AI assistants recommend other companies, not yours. One kind measures it. The other kind also works on it.
01 / THE TRACKER
What does an AI visibility tracker do?
It asks a fixed set of prompts in AI assistants on a schedule. A prompt is a question your buyers might ask, such as which tool to use for a job. The tracker records which companies each answer names and which pages it cites, and shows how you compare with your competitors over time.
Most trackers are priced by how many prompts they track. On their own pricing pages, OtterlyAI's Lite plan tracks 15 prompts for $29 a month, Peec AI's Starter plan tracks 50 prompts in one project for €85 a month, and Promptwatch's Essential plan tracks 50 prompts in one project for $95 a month.
A tracker does not change your website. Someone reads the report, decides what to change and does the work.
02 / THE EXECUTION PLATFORM
What does an AI search execution platform do?
It starts with the same tracking. Then it chooses a change, makes it and checks whether the answers moved. The changes are ordinary website work: a page that answers a buyer's question directly, a clearer product or pricing page, fixes that let AI crawlers read the site.
Products in this group differ a lot in how much they do by themselves. Some give you a content tool your team still drives: AirOps, for example, counts its plans in tasks for content production, 35,000 on its Solo plan. Others include an agent inside the plan: AthenaHQ's Starter lists a content optimization agent. Some publish changes after your approval.
Ask each vendor three things: what it publishes without a person, what waits for your approval, and how it shows what changed.
03 / SIDE BY SIDE
What do you get, and what do you still do yourself?
The table compares the two kinds of product, not named vendors. Read each vendor's own pages for what its plans include.
| AI visibility tracker | AI search execution platform | |
|---|---|---|
| What it does | Asks buying questions in AI assistants and records who is named and which pages are cited. | The same tracking, then chooses changes, makes them and checks the answers again. |
| Who changes the website | Your team, an agency or a freelancer. | The platform drafts or makes the change; you approve it, or let it publish within rules you set. |
| What you get each week | A report: mentions, citations, competitors, trends. | A report plus the work done, and what changed after it. |
| How it is priced | Mostly by the number of prompts tracked. | By the prompts tracked plus the work: pages, tasks or credits. |
| What it needs from you | Time every week to act on the report. | Access to the site or its CMS, and decisions on what it may publish. |
| Fits a company that | Has a marketer or agency with time to act on it. | Has no one with the time, and wants to approve work rather than do it. |
04 / HOW TO CHOOSE
How should a B2B company choose?
Answer four questions before you look at vendors. Who will act on the report, and how many hours a week do they have? Which buying questions lead to a demo or a sale for you, and how many are there? Can the tool reach your website, or will every change go through a developer? How will you know it worked: a re-check of the same questions, and the demos or sign-ups that follow?
If the first answer is "nobody", a tracker gives you a report no one acts on. If you already have a team doing this work, an execution platform may repeat what they do.
05 / WHAT THE WORK IS
Does AI search need special optimization?
For Google, no. Google's own guide to AI features says there are no additional requirements to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode, and that the same SEO basics apply. A page must be indexed and eligible to show with a snippet.
So execution is not a trick. It is the website work that helps any search: clear pages that answer the questions buyers ask, facts that can be checked, and a site that crawlers can read. What a platform adds is doing that work every week and checking the answers again.
06 / WHERE ELI FITS
Where does Eli fit?
Eli makes this page and sells an execution product. Eli is an AI marketing team you hire. On the paid levels it learns the company, asks the buying questions in AI assistants every day, picks the next job and says why, does it, checks again after about a week and learns from what changed. It works on AI answers (ChatGPT, Gemini and Google's AI answers), on the website and on Meta ads inside the owner's budget.
The owner approves the first change. After that the owner can let Eli publish by itself. More money or anything new waits for a yes. Eli is used from ChatGPT or Claude, with a dashboard and a weekly report. Plans: Launch €99 or $99, Grow €249 or $249 and Scale €599 or $599 a month, with a free plan to start.

About Eli · facts checked 18 October 2026
What Eli is
Eli is your AI marketing team. Its job: get you named in AI answers, improve your website so more visitors become customers, and run your Meta ads inside your budget. Eli is for founders of B2B software and service companies, often 11 to 50 people, whose website gets visitors but not enough customers, and who have no marketing team to work on it.
You use Eli from ChatGPT or Claude, through Eli's MCP connector, or in your Eli account at hireeli.io, and Eli sends you one short report a week. There is no new dashboard to learn.
Eli Free is free forever: one website, one full check, no card. The paid plan, Eli, has three levels a month: Launch €99 or $99, Grow €249 or $249 (recommended), Scale €599 or $599. Every level has every feature; only capacity differs. Enterprise is scoped and priced in a call. Your ad budget is separate and goes directly to Meta.
You approve Eli's first change and your ad budget. After that you can let Eli improve pages and publish by itself, and you can undo anything. More money or anything new still waits for your yes. "Stop everything" works at any time. Eli never promises a ranking, a revenue figure, a multiple or a date. It tracks conversions, reports what it measured, and says so when it is too early to tell.
