Does AI recommend you when buyers ask?

We generate the questions buyers actually ask before choosing a vendor, send them to AI systems with live search, and show where you are mentioned, recommended or absent.

Live AI checks open soon

This tool sends real buyer questions to AI systems. We are verifying it against live providers before opening it, so it never shows a result that was not actually measured. These checks are available now:

What it checks

Mention share and recommendation share across real buyer prompts.

01

Buyer prompts, not vanity prompts

Best-for, alternatives, switch-from and problem-led questions. Not “what is CRM”.

02

Mentioned is not recommended

Being named in passing and being put on the shortlist are different outcomes. The report keeps them apart.

03

Who appears instead

The brands the same answers recommend, with how often each one appeared.

When to use it

Example use cases

  • Establish a baseline before investing in AI search work.
  • Find the specific buyer questions where a competitor is recommended and you are not.
  • Show leadership an evidence-backed picture instead of a screenshot of one chat.

Methodology

How the result is produced

Analysis version 1.0.0 · Scoring methodology 2026-10-04.1 · Updated 2026-10-04

  1. Buyer questions are generated from fixed, published templates using your category, audience and market. Informational prompts such as “what is X” are excluded on purpose.
  2. Each tested question is sent once, unchanged, to every AI provider that is configured, with live web search enabled. Providers that are not configured are listed as “Not tested”. Nothing is simulated.
  3. A brand counts as MENTIONED only when its name or domain literally appears in the saved answer. It counts as RECOMMENDED only when the answer lists it as an option to consider. The two are reported separately.
  4. Citations are the source URLs the provider returned with the answer. When a provider returns none, the report says so instead of inferring sources.
  5. The first run tests five representative questions to keep the free tool sustainable. The remaining generated questions are shown as not tested.

If something cannot be tested, the report says “Not tested” or “Unable to verify”. Uncertainty is never turned into a score.

FAQ

Questions about this tool

Which AI systems are tested?

The report lists every provider with its status. A provider is tested only when its API is configured and answered. Anything else is labelled “Not tested”, never estimated.

Will I get the same result if I run it again?

Not necessarily. AI answers vary between runs, users and locations. This is one observed sample, cached for a week so the report stays stable and shareable. Continuous measurement needs repeated runs, which is what Eli does once connected.

What is the difference between mention share and recommendation share?

Mention share is the percentage of tested answers that name you at all. Recommendation share is the percentage that list you as an option to consider. An answer can mention you while recommending someone else.
